Late Bird Registration

Late Bird Registration begins on Friday, September 04, 2009 at 9:00AM PST. We’ve arranged for 50 more tickets to go on sale thanks to the gracious support of our host Adobe and our other sponsors (Pathable, Pet Holdings, Press75.com, Windows Live Writer, Seattle Underground Travel, and Seattle Washington Real Estate).
We still need additional sponsors to help cover the costs of the event. If you’re able to contribute $50, $100, or more, read about our sponsorship opportunities. We’re also looking for in-kind sponsorships of food for morning and afternoon breaks and lunch if you’d rather contribute in that way. If interested, contact wordcampseattle@gmail.com.
If you’ve written a book, your business sells a product or service, or if you work at a fancy restaurant, we’re also looking for door prizes to give away at the event in order to involve the local community and help introduce our attendees to new places in Seattle.
Update: The additional 50 tickets sold out in less than 10 hours! We’re going to set up a wait list for anybody that wasn’t able to get one and we’ll provide more details on how that’s going to work in an upcoming blog post.

Today was the first I ‘ve heard of Word Camp Seattle, Why so little publicity?
Sure hope i get one of the late registration tickets.
Robert,
Unfortunately, the event is currently sold out. We will be setting up a Wait List soon.
We’ve done a lot of publicity via blogging and social media — many of the events’ speakers published about it and word has spread through the blogging community that way. TechFlash (http://www.techflash.com/seattle/2009/09/wordcamp_seattle_opens_more_slots.html) had an article on Friday about the event.
